Happy Friday :) Last week, you were shown how to easily find the total number of entrants in your giveaways. This week, you’ll be shown a huge advantage to running a giveaway using with Rafflecopter.
Today’s Tip: Run Giveaways In Multiple Locations
Rafflecopter’s giveaway widget works similar to a YouTube video. Like a YouTube video, you can embed it into any webpage so long as they accept javascript. You can have the widget located on different pages on your site, across multiple domains, or even on your Facebook page. All at the same time.
For example, when we run a giveaway for the Rafflecopter Brand Showcase, not only is the widget placed below the bottom of the blog post, it’s also put on our homepage as well as our Facebook page using our recently released Facebook app.
Does that mean if you’re running the giveaway in more than one location that entrants can enter your giveaway multiple times? No way! Just like multiple voting booths & locations in a presidental election, individuals can enter once and once only.
Remember: Each Promotion You Manage Is Unique
Before deciding to place the widget in as many places as you can, figure out what your objectives are for the particular giveaway you’re running. Decide if it makes sense to have the giveaway widget located on more than one page. While placing the widget in multiple locations might increase your promotion’s visibility, you don’t want to place the widget in a location that will confuse your readers or take the giveaway out of context.
