Meet the New Rafflecopter

*Note: This post is out of date; to see updated information on pricing, see this Knowledge Base article

Happy Holidays & Howdy from Rafflecopter HQs! Today, we’re happy to officially launch the new Rafflecopter website & features that have been worked on over the course of the past year. We’ve got a handful of new features now available in your Rafflecopter account along with several updates we’d like to share with you below. And *psst*… we’re also running a launch giveaway below for good measure — read on for the full scoop!

The Rafflecopter DesignLab

If you’ve ever wanted to customize the look and feel of your Rafflecopter widget to match your site’s design / theme, the time has come :) Along with a new widget design, we’re happy to introduce you to the Rafflecopter DesignLab.

With the Rafflecopter DesignLab, you’ll have much more flexibility as to how your giveaway widget is designed. Below are some of the capabilities you’ll have with this new feature:

  • Choose from pre-existing widget themes. Start designing your giveaway with one of our 15 pre-made templates for design inspiration, or start from scratch!
  • Advanced typography. Our one-of-a-kind formatting language makes it simple to create attractive headlines and attention-grabbing titles for your widget.
  • Widget styling and layout. Change your widget’s font styling and personality. Switch between dark and light color schemes & choose your base and text color.
  • Change your widget’s dimensions. Access the ability to make your widget as narrow as 250 pixels or wider than 600 pixels.
  • Remove your total entries counter. Don’t want to display the total number of entries at the top of the widget? Hide it with one click of a button.
  • White-label your widget. Remove the Rafflecopter branding completely and replace it with your client’s branding or your own.
  • Coming soon. We’ll be releasing more widget designs in the future for increased flexibility… stay tuned!

To see which of these specific widget customization features are available at what subscription level, check out our pricing page or our plan comparison chart.

Now Supporting Six Languages

Translate Your Giveaway

In addition to English, you can translate your widget into French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. You’ll be able to toggle your widget’s default language from your account settings page. This feature is available on all plan subscriptions, including the free account level.

Don’t support your language yet? More are on the way! Fill out this survey here to let us know what language we should translate to next.

Other New Releases

In addition to the features above, you can also now access:

  • Google Analytics integration. Directly integrate Google Analytics into your next giveaway for additional insight as to the amount of traffic and interaction your giveaway widget receives.
  • Custom CSS. Style your widget with your custom CSS to match your brand’s theme.
  • Advanced analytics (coming soon!). In the upcoming weeks, you’ll be able to access a brand new analytics suite to help bring you extra insight into your giveaway’s performance.
  • Developer API / SDK (coming soon!). Interested in checking out our API and SDK? It’s just around the corner! Fill out this form to learn more.

For more details about new features and offerings, check out our tour page here. To learn more about features available at different pricing levels, visit the comparison page here.

New Pricing Structure & Grandfathering

*Note: This post is out of date; to see updated information on pricing, see this Knowledge Base article

With these new features being introduced, we’re introducing a new pricing plan. For reference, our old pricing had three tiers: the free plan, the blogger subscription ($7.99/mo) and business subscription ($59.99/mo). Our new pricing structure has four tiers and introduces an enterprise level: the free plan, the basic subscription ($13/mo), the premium subscription ($84/mo), and the enterprise subscription ($245/mo).

We’re grandfathering all subscribed customers. If your account was on the blogger subscription at the $7.99 price, you’ll gain access to the basic subscription ($13/mo), but will continue to be billed for $7.99/mo. Same goes for the business subscription: if your account was on the business subscription at the $59.99 price, you’ll automatically gain access to the premium subscription ($84/mo), but will continue to be billed for $59.99/mo. Grandfathered pricing will continue until you choose to downgrade to the free plan.

With the new pricing structure, you’re also now able to select certain individual features (email list integration, refer-a-friend, additional widget themes, etc.) and pay for them without upgrading to the next subscription level. Check out your account settings page to see what’s available.

If you’ve been a long time Rafflecopter supporter and you aren’t currently on a paid plan but you have been in the past and want to check out the new features, shoot us an email and let us know!

Questions and Feedback

If you have any questions or feedback about the new features, new pricing structure, or want to just shoot us a message, we’re easy to get in touch with and would love to hear from you! Shoot us an email to support@rafflecopter.com and either Josh, Dave or myself will get back in touch (or feel free to email me directly at greg@rafflecopter.com if you’d prefer).

Rafflecopter Launch Giveaway: Enter to Win!

From now through January 13th, you’ll have the chance to enter to win one of five grand prizes, which includes an annual subscription to Rafflecopter’s premium subscription (ARV $756), a $50 Amazon gift card, and some Rafflecopter swag shipped to your door. Ten runner-up winners will also take home a free month to Rafflecopter’s premium subscription (ARV $84), a $10 Amazon gift card + Rafflecopter swag.

  • Stephanie Takes-Desbiens

I don’t get how the Bring your friends works. I did all three and couldn’t see how it works.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Stephanie! I think the copy can be improved upn, but this entry option allows you to share a unique URL with your friends.

When you refer someone to the giveaway with that URL, and they enter the giveaway, you’ll then receive an additional entry into the giveaway. For each friend you refer, you get one additional entry (with a max of 10 friends you can refer). Let me know if that helps!

  • unrooly

So, I shared the giveaway. And it’s not registering at all. Just sayin’.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

When you refer someone to the giveaway with that URL, and they enter the giveaway, you’ll then receive an additional entry into the giveaway. For each friend you refer, you get one additional entry (with a max of 10 friends you can refer).

      Sorry that’s confusing – it’s something we’ll look to re-word a bit :) Hope that makes sense!

      • unrooly

        Thanks, that makes total sense.
And I’m not sure how I’d word that, either. ;)

  • Andrea Waltz

    Did all tasks!

  • Morgan

This would be awesome to win… I’m gearing up for a BIG 2015!!!

  • Cindy Tibbitts

I did all the above, and shared on twitter – but have ZERO extra entries (only the 4 basic ones). Not a good way to show how your new system works…….. :(

    • Amanda

You only get the extra entries when friends use your link to enter the giveaway.

      • Cindy Tibbitts

        Thanks!

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Amanda is correct :) The wording in this entry option is a little confusing as it sits now and something that we may update to make it better understandable.

      • Cindy Tibbitts

Yes, the wording through me off. Thanks! I use these fairly often, so I want to make sure they work properly. Looks great!

  • Kimberlee

Although my giveaway needs are basic enough for the free service (plus I have a VERY limited marketing budget), I just wanted to say that I am BEYOND impressed by the fact that you are grandfathering in all of your current paid subscribers at their current pricing level. Most companies simply do not care that much about your clients. Thank you!

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

*blushes* Thanks so much, Kimberlee! Only feels natural to do that :) Enjoy!

  • Marie@The Interior Frugalista

Awesome giveaway Greg – thank you! The new rafflecopter sounds awesome.

  • Peggy McAloon

Love the new enhancements. Anxious to try it out.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

      Thanks Peggy!

  • Heaven

What a nice looking update, thanks for the giveaway!

  • House of Faucis

My goal is to have more giveaways for my readers.

  • Laina G

Every time I try to enter contests with the new rafflecopter, I get this message “Aw, shucks. We didn’t get your entry. Plz try again.” **NOT A FAN OF THE NEW RAFFLECOPTER**

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Laina – if you haven’t already, can you send me a message at greg@rafflecopter.com? I’d be happy to investigate this a bit further and see why that might be happening.

  • JoeJoeBarker

I have also entered and shared so thanks for the Awesomeness of this giveaway !!! :)

  • Karen McDonald

Thanks for the giveaway and the new updates!

  • Boris Kitty

When you tweet the contests the tweet box disappears before you can copy the tweet URL. If you don’t have twitter open this is a real pain. Any chance of fixing that?

  • Good Reads With Ronna

Love the cool new options available. Plus, have to give a shout out to your FAB customer service.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Woot! Thanks for the shoutout :)

  • Ila Turner

Loving the update – I’ve shared with friends but its not showing that I did for the entries – using Firefox not sure what’s up with that.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Thanks, Ila! So how this works is when you refer someone to the giveaway with the URL you receive in this entry option, and they enter the giveaway, you’ll then receive an additional entry into the giveaway. For each friend you refer, you get one additional entry (with a max of 10 friends you can refer). Let me know if that makes sense!

  • Emily

I tried to enter by following on Twitter, it took me to your page, i hit follow but nothing happened. =/ Tried it again and it still didn’t work. Does it not work with Macs or something? =(

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hmm – would you mind shooting me a message at greg@rafflecopter.com w/ some additional details? Would love to understand what might be happening & would love to troubleshoot!

  • angel

I have the same problem as others…shared at Facebook but it doesn’t show I did.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Angel – I think the copy and wording in this entry option is a little confusing as it sits now. It’s something that will be updated to make it better understandable, but this entry option allows you to share a unique URL with your friends.

When you refer someone to the giveaway with that URL, and they enter the giveaway, you’ll then receive an additional entry into the giveaway. For each friend you refer, you get one additional entry (with a max of 10 friends you can refer). Hope that makes sense!

  • Aida Rodriguez

    Love the update!

  • Daniel

“Bring Your Friends” is a very big improvement – viral sharing is the #1 most important reason we run giveaways, much more logical to display it next to other contest entry buttons. Glad to see the Twitter widget is slightly improved but still a bit confusing – I wish the instruction text in those Twitter widgets was editable by us. Also looking forward to more Instagram integration – follows at least.

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Daniel – great to hear. Our plan is to make a lot more aspects of the widget to be editable by you in the upcoming months. Everything you said is stuff being worked on :) Thanks for your feedback!

  • Jeanne Melanson

Entered and shared. Thank you for all that you do!

  • suki

    More giveaways in 2015!

  • CLD

I entered and shared on FB.

  • Arial Burnz

LOVE Rafflecopter!!! Been using the paid subscription and love it MUCH better than the free version. SOOOOO worth it!! Thanks for the consideration of “grandfathering” in those who have supported Rafflecopter. Good luck to everyone on the drawing!

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

*blushes* Thanks Arial! So happy to hear ;)

  • Galina V

    Very interesting new features.

  • Natasha Mairs

rafflecopter is not loading up on any blogs i try and enter, as this got something to do with the new update?

    • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Natasha! It’s definitely possible – shoot me an email at greg@rafflecopter.com with some details and I’ll be happy to look into it :)

      • Julie MRB

Can I second this. I see a message like “beaming up the giveaway” and the actual competition never loads. It is worse on mobile devices (android)

        • Greg @ Rafflecopter

Hey Julie! Yes – I’d be curious in investigating that, too. Shoot me a message at greg@rafflecopter.com w/ some details or screenshots and I’ll be happy to take a further peek.

      • Natasha Mairs

emailed you, but still haven’t had a reply. I’m on a laptop with windows 8.1 and using chrome.

  • Cynthia Cover

I just want to keep up the blog and inform more people about sensory issues.

  • Laurita Martinez

My blogging goals is to have my name be heard somewhere near and far as well as a domain for my blog! Along with a new laptop and a camera! Haha! My personal goals are definitely a pair of prescription hearing aids and braces. :) High hopes for sure! Haha! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Kim Page

    I love Rafflecopter!!! Woot Woot!!

  • Michelle

Personal goal to stay on track with Weight Watchers.

  • Brandi

I would LOVE to win this! Thanks for the giveaway.

  • magz_dc

Thank you for the update! :)

  • Vicki

Couldn’t get the link to post for the Bring Your Friends entry. Here is the link: twitter.com/irbratb/status/543221646392176640

  • Deztinee

We’re new to all of this but are having our very first give away this month. We have entered many give aways and here recently the twitter box disappears long before you can copy the link, so we’re not real pleased about that. It’s time consuming to have to manually go to twitter, find the tweet, copy and close to paste. We had assumed we would use rafflecopter, but the new is causing quite an uproar of complaints around the blogosphere. We’re here to check it out though, and hopefully use it many more times. Thanks for the give away, we definitely entered.

  • Sonny

I shared on twitter and on facebook, but didn’t get credit for the 10 extra entries. How do I do that?

  • Karen Bainbridge

Thank you, for all the great brand new much easier to track version of Rafflecopter. My marketing budget is very minimal but I love that you are ‘grandfathering’ in the rates at current prices even for small clients. This is really showing that you care about everyone who uses your service, most big business does not. I also want to wish you to see an increase in the number of clients you have in the upcoming year.. here’s wishing you the very best for next year.

  • Janice

I’m only a free subscriber, but I love what you guys still offer for us for free!

  • Amy Orvin

    Entering giveaways! What else?

  • vsr rox

Thanks For This Huge And Awesome Giveaway!

  • Jodi Hoppe Wresh

I find it much easier to enter, one day i may have a use for it. i am working on honing skills and learning more about making a site in 2015

  • andie88

Can we still edit our answers somehow? I can’t find it.

  • @DairyFreeGFLife

I will be using Rafflecopter monthly but not much more than 1x month. Only entry form I use!
Will be focusing on Blogger Sponsored Giveaways this year :)

  • Michael Gallagher

In the past, the widget has not integrated on Android devices like the Kindle Fire. Has this been resolved?

  • christy

  • Franz

    Mh…

In addition to English, you can translate your widget into French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. You’ll be able to toggle your widget’s default language from your account settings page. This feature is available on all plan subscriptions, including the free account level.

    Account Setting: German
    But Widgets only show english!?

I am having problem today logging in to any giveaway that uses Rafflecopter. So I came to the source and entered your giveaway but its doing the same as other blogs giveaways! I logged in using my email because there was no other option, the other option was “cannot get “and some random letters with the words log in after them, that was unusable. What is happening? I also was not able to put in my username for Pinterest, TWitter and also a URL of a Tweet I did. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

Need to bring back a feature, now missing from Rafflecopter: Editing an Entry. We cannot make changes to entries once the entry is submitted now. We need the ability to go back in and add and/or chance an entry. I have, a number of times, copied the wrong information into a text box and then needed to open it again and make the change. I cannot do this now and have entered entries that needed changes to make them valid. Please, give us the ability to open up an entry and make changes.

  • Elisa

I shared it on Twitter, but I cannot seem to figure out how to confirm that entry…. There is no “done” button…
So I am sharing the tweet’s url here: https://twitter.com/ElisaGIH/status/547489045882748930 :-)
