Over the past 3 years of being in business, we’ve had a total of seven offices. In chronological order, our first six offices were:
- A bedroom in Atlanta (March 2011 – April 2011)
- A bedroom in Boulder (April 2011 – July 2011)
- A 170 sq. ft. subleased room (July 2011 – February 2012)
- A 250 sq. ft. basement office (February 2012 – August 2012)
- Our rented 3 bedroom townhome (August 2012 – January 2013)
- A 950 sq. ft. office (January 2013 – November 2013)
It seems like it was just yesterday when we were sending out invite codes from our bedroom, working with the first handful of beta testers in the summer of 2011. Three years later, we’re starting to build a team to see Rafflecopter realize its bigger vision.
If you’re an entrepreneur who has grown your business to the point where you’ve had to hire outside help, you know how important it is to find the right people to help you grow your team. Building a great product requires great people. The problem with that is talented folks aren’t easy to find. Do you think you’d have trouble recruiting great talent if you were still working out of your bedroom? ;)
We knew when the opportunity presented itself, we’d invest in an office that would make for a great place to work. Today, we’re happy to introduce to you our new HQs in the heart of downtown Boulder, CO & we’ve got a giveaway to celebrate! First, let us take you on a (virtual) tour of our new space.
Ready, Set, Tour!
In Boulder? Give us a shout if we can offer you a t-shirt and a tour :) If not, here are a few pictures for a virtual tour (or keep up to date w/ images on our Pinterest board):
Four {Correct} Assumptions You’ll Have When Visiting Rafflecopter HQs
Maybe visiting isn’t even necessary to make these assumptions. If you’ve flipped through the pictures above, you’ve probably realized that…
We’re problem solvers. A lot of time is spent in the whiteboard room, while the rest of the time is spent heads-down focusing at our desks or in the library.
We love memes. Extra credit to those who can recognize the memes hung up across our office. You knew Rafflecopter was named after a meme, right?
We’re dog-friendly. Not just dog-friendly, dog-accommodating. The number of places you might find Shiner sleeping is well over ten. Dogs in workplaces can help relieve stress and may encourage collaboration.
We work in comfort. The office commonly sees late night and weekend activity. Since we spend a lot of time here, we’ve made the office spacious and comfortable.
Speaking of Comfort… A Giveaway :)
We’ve had a great relationship over the past several years with Comfy Sacks, an ecommerce business selling giant bean bag chairs. We’ve got a few embroidered Comfy Sacks laying around the office if you couldn’t tell. The team at Comfy Sacks offered them to us as a housewarming gift when we moved into our new space (they’ve easily become a crowd favorite). To celebrate our new office opening and close out this post, we’re giving away two 5 ft. Comfy Sack bean bag chairs in the giveaway below. Two folks will win a 5 ft. bean bag chair of their color choice. We’ll throw in a Rafflecopter prize pack for good taste, which includes a one-month business subscription along with a t-shirt & sticker pack. Enter the giveaway below by letting us know what color you’d like if you were chosen a winner (you can view Comfy Sacks’ color selection here). Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
