Happy Friday :) Last week, you were shown how to easily run your giveaway in multiple locations. This week, we’ll step it back a bit. You’ll be shown how to link to different pages in your giveaway.
Today’s Tip: Adding Links In Your Giveaway Widget
Here’s a super-easy tip that can make an impact if you’re not already doing it: using hyperlinks in your widgets where it makes sense.
For example, here’s a screenshot of a giveaway that we ran for the Julep Brand Showcase:
Here, we linked to six different pages to make it easy for the entrant to understand the entry option, not worry about finding a link in the post, and increasing interest in the giveaway.
Below is a screenshot that shows what this looks like when creating the widget:
From first glance, it looks like a jumbled mess, but take a closer look:

… typed in the widget would be displayed as:
Remember: Let’s Save Our Entrants Their Time!
When we set up hyperlinks in our giveaways, your objective is to see that there isn’t any need to scroll up through the blog post to play ‘where’s waldo’ finding a link. Make it easy and save your entrants’ time: link to pages and sites that are relevant to the entry option.
Links inside the giveaway widget aren’t crawled by search engines, so there’s no need to link for an SEO benefit. The easier you make the entry option through links, chances are you’ll have a high entry amount.
